Congratulations to the
selectees of the
Spring 2024 Military Spouse
Leadership Development Program!
Special Thanks to Our Spring Cohort Presenting Sponsor
The MSLDP serves developing leaders by unlocking their potential to become future
action-oriented leaders, advocates, and mentors within their respective areas of interest and expertise.
Military Spouse Advocacy Network (MSAN) is proud to offer the Military Spouse Leadership Development Program (MSLDP), presented by USAA, for a fourth season to a new group of 50 change-making and community service-oriented military spouses.
After the overwhelming success of three previous MSLDP cohorts, it is clear that MSAN fulfills the ongoing need for a world-class leadership program dedicated to military spouses.
Typically only offered in the fall, MSAN created the new spring cohort with USAA’s generous support in direct response to the exceptional and rising number of application requests each consecutive year. The MSLDP is a free, global, and virtual training program focused on providing military spouses the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Leadership, Service, Advocacy, and Mentorship.
Over the course of four months, the program will provide a diverse cohort of 50 military spouses from all military branches training from:
● Harvard University, National Preparedness Leadership Initiative
● Psych Hub- Mental Health Ally Certificate
● Top military leaders and influential panel participants
● Impactful voices in the community
● Professional communications training
Upon course completion, the participants will receive a Leadership Certificate from Harvard University, professional communications training, and a certificate in mental health allyship from Psych HUB.

Verenice Castillo, MSAN’s Founder & CEO, shared her excitement about MSLDP’s Spring 2024 cohort:
“Military Spouses are considered change makers in our communities because they serve, lead, mentor, and advocate for efforts that need improvement,” said MSAN founder and CEO Verenice Castillo. “This program is dedicated to the development of future leaders. It is an honor to provide meaningful training to military spouses who want to become the change they want to see in their communities. We are excited to welcome USAA to our MSLDP family and grateful for their support and confidence in our program."
From Justin Schmitt, AVP Corporate Responsibility, USAA:
